President Was Invited to Participate in 2019?5G Innovative Development Conference and the Signing Ceremony of 5G Network Construction and Application Projects
In the forenoon of July 14, 2019?5G Innovative Development Conference and the 1st China Information Communication Industry Entrepreneurs Annual Meeting titled “5G innovation leads high-quality development” raised the curtain in Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Deputy director of the Economic Committee Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former vice-minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Liu Lihua, vice-governor of Guangdong Province Chen Liangxian, Party member and chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Zhang Feng, chairman of China Association of Communication Enterprises Miao Jianhua, member of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor Chen Zhiying and nearly a thousand industry experts and business representatives from China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Huawei, ZTE, Tencent and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology gathered to discuss 5G innovative development and market trend, displayed the latest innovative technologies and applications and strengthened domestic and overseas 5G technical exchange around the whole industry chain of the information communication industry. President Chen Kaixuan was invited to attend the meeting and signed a strategic cooperation agreement of “Medicine Port 5G Health Ark cooperation project” with Guangzhou Unicom on behalf of GUANGZHOU INTERNATIONAL MEDICINE PORT.

The meeting was a 5G development meeting which was first held by governmental agencies and national level industry associations and national level think tank research institutions in Guangdong after 5G commercial plate was officially issued and jointly sponsored by Guangdong Provincial Industry and Information Technology Department, Guangdong Communications Administration, China Association of Communication Enterprises and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. In the meeting, Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government signed a 5G strategic cooperation framework agreement with Huawei Technology Corporation and Guangzhou 5G Innovative Industry Alliance and Guangzhou Intelligent Lamp Post Industry Alliance were established.

During the meeting, in the signing ceremony of 5G network construction and application projects, a cooperation agreement was signed between “Medicine Port 5G Health Ark cooperation project” of GUANGZHOU INTERNATIONAL MEDICINE PORT and 5G application projects of Guangzhou Unicom. President Chen Kaixuan participated in the signing ceremony on the stage together with other 5G application fields such as IoT, chip manufacturing, intelligent e-commerce, automatic driving, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).

President Chen Kaixuan said confidently: “The 5G era has come and Guangzhou will lead G5 technology application in China. We should grasp new opportunities of the new era and Health Ark will build ‘an innovative intelligent platform featured by online and offline, interconnected, shared and win-win and experience display of the international massive health industry in the new era’. We are very glad to sign ‘Medicine Port 5G Health Ark cooperation project’ with Guangzhou Unicom and we will make Health Ark an intelligent ark using 5G technology!”
It is learnt that Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government highly valued 5G technology application and took 5G as an important engine to promote high-quality economic development. By the end of July this year, Guangdong Province had built 8949 5G base stations. Next, Guangdong will further deepen the construction of “digital Guangdong”, make experiments of application, accelerate the construction of 5G-based wireless wideband city agglomeration of the Pearl River Delta and build a convenient, efficient and transparent business environment.
